By now, everyone in Tollywood already knows how good of an actor Adivi Sesh is. His recent script selection has been nothing short of Brilliant. All his latest movies have been the Drama/Action/Thriller genre and from the looks of it, Evaru doesn’t seem to be any different. Albeit this time he has now teamed up with a debutant Director Venkat Ramji. Let us dive in and see how the movie is.
Sameera (Regina) is the wife of the owner of a group of hospitals who’s rich. Sameera happens to be in Coonoor in a resort where Ashok (Naveen Chandra) tries to rape her and in an attempt to protect herself, Sameera kills Ashok. Vikram (Adivi Sesh) is a corrupt police officer who’s investigating this case to help Sameera is the story. But, what is the real story makes #Evaru.
Adivi Sesh as Vikram has been nothing but outstanding. Lately he’s been playing these unique roles and this role has so much to offer. Adivi Sesh does complete justice to Vikram. Regina Cassendra as Sameera comes back to the Tollywood screen after a while and she hits the bullseye on her comeback. She’s given an impressive performance. Murli Sharma gets a short role but does a good job. Naveen Chandra in a supporting role as a cop does well. Other than that there aren’t many important characters involved.
First things first, if you have seen “the invisible guest” movie on Netflix, this movie has so many shades of it but it has so much more to offer. The movie starts off with Vikram investigating why Sameera killed Ashok in order to save her but for money. The director did not move away from the story for atleast a little bit which is very unlike a telugu movie but does justice to the script. The first half ends with a bang to the story.
The second half continues the racy screenplay presented in the first half. It has the backstory of what actually happened in Coonoor. The background score for the movie is so gripping just like the screenplay is. It’s the heart of the movie in addition to Adivi Sesh and Regina’s acting. The narration has been a bit similar to the invisible guest which might give the audience more the reason to proclaim it as a remake.
The cinematography is neat and the editing is crisp. There were no unnecessary scenes in the movie. The best part is it keeps you guessing until the last minute with a lot of twists and turns. The climax twist is however the best of the lot. All in all, even if you watched the movie “the invisible guest” on Netflix, I can assure you Evaru is an outstanding movie not to miss. Go, grab your tickets.
