Well, the world certainly looked small with all the coincidences you see in this movie.

We have certainly seen some entertaining hits already this summer and the latest movie in the block is Brochevarevaru Ra which has received a very positive word of mouth. Sri Vishnu, the experimentalist of different storylines pairs up with Vivek Athreya once again after a fairly decent previous outing Mental Madhilo. Let's see how good this movie was.
Brochevarevaru Ra is another multi-threaded movie with different individual stories brought together at the end. The main plot belongs to a group of three friends who call themselves R3, Rahul (Sri Vishnu), Rakesh (Priyadarshi) and Rambo (Rahul Ramakrishna). They are a batch of youngsters who have been stuck in their intermediate since years. They get to meet Mitra (Nivetha Thomas) who is another student without any interest in studies in the same college and aspires to be a dancer. She also happens to be the daughter of the college principle who doesn't encourage his daughter's dancer aspirations and hence is despised by his own daughter. They all become friends and Rahul tries to save Mitra from her father. What does R3 do to help Mitra and how will be they land in a big trouble? In a different thread, Vishal (Satya Dev) who is a wanna be director in Tollywood meets the popular heroine Shalini (Nivetha Pethuraj) to narrate a story he has written. Shalini instantly likes Vishal's storyline and they both constantly meet to talk about the developments of the script. Shalini tries to help Vishal when his father meets with an accident and in the process there's a twist to the story. What happens to Shalini and Vishal? How are both these threads connected forms the storyline.
Sri Vishnu as Rahul is as impressive as he usually is. He has a very natural accent and diction in Telugu which helps the audience instantly connect with him. He has given yet another good performance and is finally rewarded for all the experiments he has done in his career. Nivetha Thomas as Mitra looks good and does well. Satya Dev as Vishal also looked very apt to the character and did a great job. Nivetha Pethuraj as Shalini in a short role was impressive as well. Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi as Rahul's friends get an extended role in the movie and they've done well.
The movie started really well with the thread of Vishal and Shalini and slowly shifted towards the main characters. The entire first half mainly concentrated on how the R3 gang is trying to help Mitra get out of her situation. Some sequences were really funny especially the one where the friends try to decide how to help Mitra. The director did not hold back a bit in using the foul language which is used by our current youth for fun. It ended on a good note with some nice bit of drama setup for the second half.
The drama in the second half doesn't disappoint. We have seen many movies where characters run behind money for several reasons. Well, this movie is nothing different than those in the storyline but where this movie scored well was the way it was narrated. The movie had a good screenplay throughout but the only downside was it's length. Also, the coincidences shown by the director in connecting both the threads was way too cinematic. The world certainly looked small with all those coincidences in the movie.
Coming to the technicalities, the direction of the movie as really good and the casting was spot on. One song in the movie and background score in the second half was good. The editing was neat and the screenplay was really impressive. This is definitely a new age of Tollywood movies where people are ready to watch new faces and new stories without any hesitation. All you need is a positive word of mouth and people run to the theatres to catch it. This is one of those movies not to miss this summer. Go and get entertained.
